I have attended the Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria (International school of lutherie, IPIALL) in Cremona from 1994 to 1998, where I obtained a diploma.
Under the supervision of Maestro Ernesto Vaia, I built different instruments of the violin family. At the same time, while studying in Cremona, I dedicated myself to restoring and constructing archtop-guitars.
In 1999, thanks to my association and friendship with viola da gamba player Giuliano Eccher, who got me interested in the viola da gamba
I began to study this instrument. In the same year, I built my first viol.
Since 1999, I have restored numerous viola da Gamba and also other instruments like violins, contrabasses, viols and baroque double-bass.
I have always worked in close collaboration with musicians as regards the settings of the instruments. Searching from time to time the most efficient solutions and the best acoustic results when making fingerboards, bridges, soundposts, tailpieces and neck modifications.
Thanks to the help of many passionate colleagues, musicians and friends I constantly try to increase my knowledge in lutherie.
